I had the privilege of having Snowball in my life for 15 ½ years. From the day my daughter Sarah and I brought this baby Maltese at 8 weeks old home, it was a love affair that grew gradually. Snowball was difficult in the beginning. She would bite and not follow the rules. I hired a trainer who came to my home to evaluate Snowball. He said she was borderline unmanageable. He gave me some tips and said his goodbyes. I wanted to give the dog away, but of course, I didn’t. I worked hard with Snowball. My husband and I took her to training school! She was the only little dog surrounded by huge dogs!  It was kind of funny. So, to make a long story short, Snowball became my best friend. We were inseparable. Everywhere I went it was a given by all that Snowball would be with me. She was so well-behaved that she earned the privilege to go to restaurants, movies, shows, and school functions, and even allowed in the temple on the highest Holy Days! I made our symbiotic relationship official by getting Snowball her own Service Dog Card. It made life easier when I had to deal with not so understanding people. Snowball was a beautiful Maltese who got groomed monthly. I always became anxious before she got groomed. I worried that she would be upset. But I dealt with my responsibility and always relieved when she was finished.
